Lorraine Pauls Longhurst - Managing Director
Lorraine Pauls Longhurst is a seasoned Agile Coach and Certified Scrum Master with over five years of Agile experience and over ten years of experience managing software development/implementation projects. Lorraine is a 'thought leader' in the Agile community and has published a number of articles on the adoption of Scrum/Agile in CIO Magazine, ComputerWorld and the Agile Journal. She has presented on the topic at a number of venues including the Australian Computer Society and the Agile Meetup.
Lorraine began her career in Canada as a Sales Engineer in the Finance industry. She worked at software companies including LivePage (XML/HTML Content-base Management), Janna and Siebel Systems (Customer Relationship Management). In those roles, she worked wiith New York based clients including Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan positioning the solution specifically for the Investment Banking and Institutional Sales Industry.
After multiple years as a Sales Engineer with Workbrain (now INFOR), the leading provider of Workforce Management Software, she moved into a role leading a team of product managers/analysts designing and marketing two products. One product was the Schedule Optimization solution designed for the Retail Industry and the second product was the Staff Scheduling solution designed for Healthcare.
With Workbrain, Lorraine moved to Sydney, Australia to help grow the organisation there. In her varied role, selling software and providing product and implementation expertise to existing clients, she played a large part in growing the client base from one to five and re-positioning the product for the Australian market, for clients including Woolworths, Australia Post and Bunnings Warehouse. This resulted in the acquisition of the company by INFOR.
Lorraine has spent the last few years writing articles for CIO Magazine and ComputerWorld whilst managing and providing Scrum coaching for multiple projects including a Financial Advisor software development project at Manulife, an e-Learning implementation at CSI (in Canada), an Oracle/Siebel implementation at DADHC (Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care) and a Data Warehouse project at the TNSW.
Lorraine is a certified Project Manager (PMP) and ScrumMaster (CSM). She has a technical background with an Honours Information Systems degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
